Tuesday:

  • SCOPE “Are Pro Athletes Overpaid?”

Wednesday:

  • IXL Thesis Statements

Thursday:

  • Library Day

Friday:

  • Choose Argumentative Topic to research

ENGLISH/WRITING

Monday:

  • “We Will Write” fun argumentative topics

Tuesday:

  • Students will choose one of the SCOPE topics from reading class and begin writing an argumentative essay. Intro and thesis are due by Wednesday morning.

Wednesday:

  • Continue working on argumentative essay. Body paragraphs due by Thursday
  • Grades will be taken on thesis statement from Tuesday.

Thursday:

  • Finish writing essay
  • edit and revise own paper

Friday:

  • Trade essay with partner and peer edit
  • Make any changes to essay and turn it in for final grading.

Tuesday: IXL Screener for Middle of Year snapshot

Wednesday: Finish IXL as needed, then work on assignments recommended

Thursday: Go over benchmark/make corrections

Friday: Informational Text introduction/practice

Wednesday: Flocabulary

Thursday: Look at essays from benchmark- how can we improve? Where did we go wrong/or right?
